The Loft Metal Hatch - Classic built for getting to engineering services the door is finished in powder coated white. This hatch can be overpainted to blend with the surrounding surface the larger loft hatch panels have full length piano hinges with the smaller using the unique pivot pin plate hinges.
The Classic panels are a high quality robust solution suitable for everyday use with all the discrete advantages your client demands of panels.

There are two frame options for the Classic
A. Beaded Frame Type (Code CPSBF) with a perforated flange to key into the surrounding membrane, used where the surface has yet to be finished.
B. Picture Frame Type (Code CPPF) where the solid 25mm flange sits on the surface of the wall or ceiling and covers the cut edge of the aperture, used where the surface has already been finished.
The Classic is available from stock with bespoke sizes made to order. It is always recommended that on longer doors, the panels are hinged on the length not on the short edge. Prepared openings should be a few millimeters larger than the dimensions of the panels unit.
The panels come un-insulated, if you require the door insulated, please select the insulation option in the selection box. The panel will be then insulated with phenolic board and provides a .35u value.
Our bespoke hatches can if you wish come with a touchflap system, rather than a plug. The gallery images on the right show the touchflap in action. The touchflap will be incorporated into all models at the end of 2008. Please advise us when you order.
